Surfing

Tamarindo, once a "secret spot" among the surfing elite has become a world- famous surfing destination since the filming of "Endless Summer II". Tamarindo has been blessed by consistent swells and off-shore conditions.

Surfers can watch the waves of the Tamarindo river mouth peel right from their terrace and every room in their villa. There are six excellent surf breaks within a short walk from the hotel. Secure board storage is provided at no extra charge.

The owner and manager of the hotel are avid surfers and will help you plan your safari to the many great breaks in and around the Tamarindo area (Langosta, Playa Grande, Avellanas, Little Hawaii, and Playa Negra, Witch's Rock, and Ollie's Point). Golf has come to Tamarindo in a big way! There are now three 18 hole championship golf courses to choose from within a short drive from the resort as well as a driving range. The resort has a selection of clubs for rent. Golfing in Costa Rica is indeed a most unique experience. It is not uncommon to see howler monkeys, iguanas, and a variety of colorful Amazon parrots during your round.

Sports Fishing

The waters just off Tamarindo are renowned for their world-class sportfishing. They boast a year-round season.
